Malmesbury Bowls and Social Club
Cotswold League
The team had a good win on Tuesday 28 May against the division leaders, Nailsworth A. The scores were 8-2 on points and 58-52 on shots. Malmesbury are third in the division table which can be viewed here https://www.southcotswoldbowls.co.uk/?page_id=87.
The team play away at Wotton under Edge on Tuesday 4 June.
Wiltshire Four Rink League Division 2
Malmesbury had a very good win taking all 14 points up for grabs, winning by 85-41 shots. Malmesbury moved to third in the division table. The division table can be viewed here - https://www.bowlswiltshire.co.uk/mens-four-rink-league-south/

- Andy - 24-6
- Rob - 25-8
- Tim - 17-12
- Roy - 19-15
Malmesbury make the journey to Pewsey Vale on Wednesday 5 June 2024.
National Competitions
Neil's team won their National Over 55s Fours at Chippenham Town. After being down 4-12 after a slow start on the grass green, they won by 20-15. They face Holt at home on Tuesday 4 June 2024.
Roy's triple made an early exit against Westlecot.
In the National Over 55s Singles, Paul made the journey to Calne to be faced with very heavy rain, so much so, puddles were forming on the green. The home player coped with the conditions much better to win by 21-11. Alan played at home and his opponent from Supermarine made a late comeback to win by 21-18.
Club Competitions
The Men's Championship preliminary round is completed with Andy, John and Mark progressing to the first round.
In the Men's Handicap, Bryan, Alan and Andy won their games and they have moved to the first round.
Bob S won his game and is in the second round of the Open Singles.
There is one game outstanding in the 2 wood competition. Otherwise Paul, John, Mark and Malc have moved into the first round.
Keep an eye on the noticeboard in the club and make sure you play on or before the closing date for the competition round.

There are limited car parking spaces at the club. If possible, please park in Cross Hayes. It is a short walk from Cross Hayes, down Silver Street, to the club house.
