2026 Competitions
Finals day results can be viewed via the draw links below.
After an excellent season of predominately fine weather the first final of the ‘Pairs Competition’ which began at 11.00am took place under dark skies and rain for much of the game and produced an evenly matched contest between the Brotton and Northallerton teams with Northallerton winning by a single shot on the final end after a greater than two hour battle.
The other three finals in the afternoon session began just after 2.00pm without any rain and were completed in warm and dry weather with once again some very excellent bowling from all those taking part.
These matches ensured victories for players from Smith’s Dock, which delighted his supporters both male and female, Northallerton and Brotton and players from Borough Park, Nunthorpe and Brotton as runners up.
Once again the members of the Jack Hatfield Club went out of their way to make all present welcome, whether bowlers or spectators and all their efforts were duly recognised in the Presentation speech by the Honorary Secretary of the NYBL who also thanked the current Club President Dave for marking the ‘Singles’ and the greenkeeper and his team once again for producing a fine surface for all the finals that took place during the day especially as this season has been a very dry one.
Congratulations to all the winners and runners up for having reached the Finals this year and for all the other contestants for participating and making these NYBL Competitions so competitive throughout the short outdoor bowling season.
