The Council, on behalf of the residents of Seamer and Crossgates, offers condolences to Her Majesty The Queen and The Royal Family on the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
The Council expresses gratitude for His Royal Highness' dedication to HM The Queen and the country over many decades.
As is appropriate during the official period of mourning, until 8.00am on 18 April 2021, and necessary in accordance with Section 234 and Schedule 12, Local Government Act 1972, the annual Parish Meeting (Assembly) and the next meeting of the Council are postponed from 14 April 2021. Please see further details below and on the Agenda and Council Meeting Dates pages of this website.

Seamer Parish Council covers a large rural area together with Seamer Village and Crossgates near Scarborough in North Yorkshire.
The Council is here to serve all parishioners and we hope you will contact any Councillor or the clerk on any issue affecting the Parish. Please see the Council Members page for individual contact details for Members and the Contact page for details of the clerk. The Council will do what it can within its powers to assist with any matters raised.
The Council is not currently meeting in person, indefinitely during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions. Virtual meetings of the Council are to be held by Zoom, usually on the second Tuesday of each month starting at 7.00pm.
Parishioners are warmly invited to attend.

Our normal meetings when they resume are held on the second Tuesday of each month, alternately at Seamer & Irton War Memorial Hall, Main Street, Seamer and Crossgates Community Centre starting at 7.00 p.m.
