A message from the Chairman

Welcome to the Website of Seamer Parish Council.

Seamer Parish Council covers a large rural area together with Seamer Village and Crossgates near Scarborough in North Yorkshire.

The Council is here to serve all parishioners and we hope you will contact any Councillor or the clerk on any issue affecting the Parish. Please see the Members | Responsibilities page for individual contact details for Members of the Council and the Contact page for details of the clerk. The Council will do what it can within its powers to assist with any matters raised.

Council Meetings

The temporary change in the law which allowed meetings of the Council to be held virtually ended on 6 May 2021, so all formal 'decision making' meetings of the Council must again be held in person, as well as in public.

Our annual and ordinary meetings are usually held on the second Tuesday of each month, alternately at Seamer & Irton War Memorial Hall, Main Street, Seamer, Scarborough, YO12 4QD and Crossgates Community Centre, Curlew Drive, Crossgates, Scarborough, YO12 4TL, starting at 7.00 p.m. Please see the Council Meetings and Agenda pages of this website for further details.

Parishioners are warmly invited to attend. Please note that attendance numbers will be limited at face to face meetings and the meeting adjourned if maximum numbers attending are exceeded, during COVID-19 restrictions and guidance.

Councillor Lynda  Wallis
