Seamer Parish Council

War Memorial Hall

The hall was built by public subscription after the First World War to commemorate those from Seamer and Irton who had died, and is for the use of all those who now live in Seamer, Irton and Crossgates.

The Memorial Hall is run by a volunteer committee, on which users have representation, and the Parish Council are the Custodian Trustees.

The Main Hall is a large room (50’ x 20’ ) suitable for meetings, private parties, coffee mornings etc; this includes toilet facilities for the disabled and wheelchair user.

The Tom Young Room is 31’ x 14’, has its own toilet facility and separate access from the Main Street. A permanent ramp and associated safety lighting have been installed, access via the rear entrance.

A modern kitchen is available for use with any of the above rooms on request.
