Touring Clubs Welcome
Bowl Tours in the area south of the Cotswolds
Shrivenham Bowls Club entertains many touring sides every bowling season. The fact that we regularly have touring teams visiting us, reflects on the Clubs' hospitality and the comfortable facilities in the clubhouse. See Gallery
On their days off, members of touring parties can visit one of the best retail shopping centres in the area: the McArthur Glen’s Designer Outlet Village, while others are playing bowls at a choice of over 20 bowling clubs within a 10 mile radius of the centre of Swindon.
If shopping is not your choice there are many tourist attractions in the South Cotswolds, including the Wild Life Park at Burford, the Trout Farm at Bibury, the Model Village in the pretty village of Bourton on the Water or maybe visit the most romantic road in Britain, at Copse Hill, Lower Slaughter.
With a population of about 5,000, Shrivenham has numerous thatched cottages, stone walls, an historic pump and a parish church that is unusual for having been rebuilt in the 17th century. The village has three historic public houses: the Barrington Arms, The Crown and the Prince of Wales, not forgetting the bar at Shrivenham Bowls Club.
