Environment
This page is designed to provide the community with information and guidance as to what to do in the event of an emergency or major incident. Further information will be added to the page over the next few months.
An Emergency is defined as an event or situation which threatens serious damage to human welfare and/or property, a disruption of fuel supply and/or causing contamination of the environment. A Major Incident is defined as any event that requires the involvement of one or more of the emergency services or the local authorities.
Major emergencies are dealt with by the Emergency Services, Local Authorities, Health Agencies, Utility Companies and Voluntary Agencies in a combined response. The Parish Council and residents should be prepared to work with these agencies to provide local knowledge of the resources available and vulnerable people to ensure their welfare needs are met during such an event.
