Professional Health Referrals

The Men's Shed is happy accept occupational therapy health referrals. We ask that a qualified health professional provides an individual risk assessment for the person they wish to refer.

Please ensure that the risk assessment takes the considerations in our membership page into account along with any other issues that may impact upon the health and safety of person being referred and / or other shed members. 

Supported Membership

On occasion, some members have been referred to the shed with a professional carer in attendance. This may be worth consideration as a risk mitigation method within your individual risk assessment.

Data Protection 

Information contained within individual risk assessments will be shared with Shed Supervisor and the Shed Management Team who share responsibility for safety of Shedders. Information will only be shared where it is necessary to protect the safety of shed users.
