Falling

The Rat Will Fall

Like a page of old history, dawn rises every day
While the Rat and his cutthroats in the alleyway in their holy kingdom
Rose as the top rats in their heaven
The rubbish mind without a doubt the Rat never claimed that he was an evil villain
Or a big bully or just a hateful so-called light human
While years have passed and victims of innocent people have risen
People are suffering and chants “Stop, you evil villain Rat”
There’s no such thing as Super Rat, only Peter Pan is my name
I am a big rat and I am the emperor of the concrete jungle
I am above natural world
Behind the Rat Palace, there is a climate of fear
A moment of time, the Black Cat waits for a moment of judgement
The trumpet is blowing, Oh how happy days
Side by side, the cat waits and sees
All is well as the rubbish evil rat
You see, I am the King Rat
But danger surrounds me
I don’t get scared
My secrets are kept hidden before the opening of the light
The truth is why that cat wants to destroy me
I am a nice guy and how am I doing
Well, the Rubbish Rat fell with all of his cutthroats

Distant Rainbow

When I fall into deep despair
My tears cry, but sometimes stay within
My eyes see truth as I think of my journey -
and then my heart opens it’s wall
and I climb into the world leaving
dark despair behind.

Falling is not to be ashamed
It is a net to capture you within
To help you heal your worries and woes
So you can smile, be happy once more

Fall, by all means, do not cry
Just know you are human
and know when to fly
Away to the rainbow of colours that hold you
Away, so you can come back whole again

When I fall I know there is a need
I know I hurt, deeply, then I cry
But, I know also, it was time
To say,
Thank you Lord for holding me
Allowing me, to find myself again...

Falling

Falling or rising?
Always surprising!
We plot and we plan
To be the person who can

Victory and failure
Glamour, regalia
Its all in the game
For one and the same

Winners and losers
Friends or abusers
All of us choosers
With only one choice

Do you watch live or ‘on demand’?

Crose Mere, April 15 – Haiku’s

Great Tit sings unseen
from bare fingered branches;
whilst man is in view

Grebes stretch graceful necks
on rippling silver mere; whilst
man is trapped ashore

Skylarks dance on air
defying gravity; whilst
man is floundering

Cloven footed bulls
spread their weight evenly;
whilst man is sinking

Been A Poor Year... (Autumn 2017)

Unripe acorns crunch under booted
feet treading the towpath; a
carpet of brokenness
of winter fodder.

Some fall into dark water
of Llangollen Canal.
Plops, spasmodic, more resonant
than silent raindrops, create
single rippled circles, spreading
outwards to a wider circumference, on
coal black surface.

Acorns sink into thick
silted mud, no value in
nutrition.

Displacement

In no concept of time
my inner song silenced
when I was displaced
from earthen roots –
limb torn...

Imbedded now in
silted lake bed
two thirds submerged
waterlogged in depth
of darkness...

Nightmares, fear
of fully drowning
brachial artery
just breaking surface -
hungry for air...

Footsteps above
carry sound of voices
I want to sing the
song of the Selkie
draw them down...

Stones thrown
from the bridge
sink alongside me
I will rot, slowly
slowly I will rest...

Tears Of A Nation

I have got to say
I am pretty ashamed
Of living in the UK today
People falling though the cracks
As the rich and priviliged turn their backs
Did Britannia raise slaves
we gotta fight for the liberty she made
Because

There's people in the UK dying of hunger
There's people in the UK living in fear
There's people in the UK want the system to change
There's people in the UK dying in vain

What's the solution to this madness
As you turn away from our pleas
Yeah you hide the facts
Yeah you cover your tracks
But you can't wipe away the tears of a nation
Because day by day, they're just increasing.

There's people in the UK dying of hunger
There's people in the UK living in fear
There's people in the UK want the system to change
There's people in the UK dying in vain
