About Us
Together began with a simple belief: lasting change happens when people genuinely work together.
What started as conversations with local residents about the future of the South-West Ward has grown into an independent charity bringing people, and organisations together to create the infrastructure for a healthy, thriving neighbourhood.
Through building trust, collaboration and a shared commitment to making a difference, we are transforming local spaces and building hope for the future.
The journey so far has been inspiring and challenging, but we believe the best is yet to come. From Scouts Hill, Thorndike Way and Ashcroft Green to new partnerships, community events and ambitious plans for the future, Together is helping to create a greener, healthier and more attractive neighbourhood where everyone can feel proud to live, work and belong.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in this journey.
You are welcome to join us - because it takes all of us.

Together’s History: How did we get here?
The Together Initiative was originally conceived in 2022 from a Safer Streets funded project. Following extensive engagement with local agencies, organisations, residents and other stakeholders with a passion for the area, the conclusion was that if we are to see long lasting positive change then we must work together. Residents felt let down, neglected and tired of promises being made and broken. They lacked hope that things would ever change and had begun to lose trust.
