Club Officer Vacancies

Please note there are two important club management positions that need filling-

  1. Admin Assistant- The admin assistant is part of the Admin Coordinator’s sub-group. He/she attends monthly executive meetings but is only entitled to vote when standing in for the admin coordinator. The main function of this role is to assist the admin coordinator compiling monthly reports from the Executive Committee meetings, this does not involve copious minute taking, just the odd note when a decision is reached, or there are additions to the executive officers’ monthly report. The Admin Assistant must be able to use email and have some knowledge of MS Word and Excel (or equivalent).
  2. Fixture Secretary- The club fixture secretary is part of the Bowls Coordinator’s sub-group. The main function of the role is to arrange club matches and the preparation and publication of a detailed fixtures list. Consults with all other clubs’ fixture secretaries as well as league secretaries. Arranges or confirms all friendly fixtures with the relevant fixture secretaries. Consults with the men’s captain, ladies captain and especially the captain of mixed games. Be involved in the re-arrangement of postponed league games and take an active part in supporting club activities. The previous fixture secretary will happily provide any training that might be required as well as ongoing assistance. The Fixture Secretary must be able to use email and have some knowledge of MS Word and Excel (or equivalent).

There is free parking in the Leisure Centre car park which is immediately adjacent to the Bowling Club. Wheelchair access is via the ramp at the corner of the green where Corams Lane joins Springfield Road.
