We trust that this season we can fulfil a playing season with some sun on our backs!
On that assumption our Secretary has arranged a full programme of matches all of which are mixed except the one for ladies on 13 September.
Any member seeking more information as well as a copy of the forms described below should fill in and submit the form below:
a) Match Application Form
b) Fixture List
c) Subscription Form -to be completed by the Club and returned to our Treasurer by 30 July 2023 – please help us by adhering to this date.
Barrie, Carolle and myself David, are the Officers of the Association and we would greatly appreciate Secretaries/Patrons Reps giving a copy of (a) and (b) to each of your members in order to promote the Patrons.
In particular we would like to stress:
a) our matches are played in a relaxed atmosphere and are suitable for bowlers of all abilities.
b) Club members may apply for as many or as few matches as suits each individual always bearing in mind their club responsibilities
c) As all but one of the matches are mixed they present an ideal opportunity for spouses/partners to partake together and to play at clubs that may be outside the range of their usual club fixtures. Subscriptions remain as cheap as chips but have been marginally revised.
£1 per member per season whether paid by the individual or by the club for all its members by one payment, as many do. The means by which payment can be made is shown on the Subscription form. You can pay by BACS/Internet Banking.
Match Fees – no change
The fee is £12 where post match food is being provided. The object of the Association is to raise funds for the parent body through organizing matches. Some clubs are now charging the Association meal costs in excess of the value of the food being provided in order to make a “turn”
for themselves. That is sad given the purpose of these matches and with this unfortunate trend we were left last year with no choice but to raise the match fee from £10 to £12.
