Aythorpe Roding is one of the historic Rodings (Roothings) of Essex, located just 9 miles (15 km) north-west of Chelmsford. This site provides information about the Parish Council, village services, meetings, events, and community resources.

Precept for 2026 - 2027
We have been advised we were too low so the Precept for this year is £8000.
Litter Pick 16th May 2026 meet at the village hall 9.30.
Wildlife inspector has been out to advise us what we need.
Part of the wildlife grant we received has been spent on Bug, Bird, Bee and Butterfly boxes and they have been installed by Cllr S Lander and her husband who we wish to thank for putting them up around the areas they should go .
The rest of the grant money will be spent on the village green - John Kenney will be doing the work for us.
