After receiving advice that our precent was too low, the decision was made to increase it to £8,000 for the 2026/2027 council tax period.

Litter Pick:
Date not yet agreed.

Grant Funding:
Having received a wildlife grant from Essex County Council's local community fund, we set about bringing in a wildlife inspector for advice on how we could make the village green and recreation ground more wildlife friendly.  From the report received, we decided to spend the grant money on:

  • Bird Boxes, Butterfly Houses, Bee and Bug Hotels which have been dotted around the village green and recreation ground.
  • A Wild Flower area on the Village Green near to the listed water pump.
  • A flower bed of Bee friendly plants placed between the top of Drury Lane and the bus stop which brighten up the area and look very pretty.
