Amenities Group
Next amenities Group Meeting 11th January 2027 (TBC) 7.30pm Village Hall
New Mower
We’re fundraising to upgrade the Buckland Dinham Playfield mower. While the existing one would be fabulous for a domestic medium to large lawn, it just doesn’t quite cut it when faced with a whole uneven playfield that needs mowing rain or shine. The playfield is used by all sorts of people and mown weekly throughout the season by a small army of volunteers. With your support we can ensure they have the tool to do an amazing job with their donated time and keep the space perfect for us all. Please help support your community space so we can all use it for years to come. All donations welcome big or small, but if you are a local business and would like to support in return for some local recognition, please contact Sian on SianCO@me.com

Park Spring Clean 2026
The playing field got a spring clean on May 10th, when – kids welcome – volunteers from the village help cut back ivy, secure wobbly fences, maybe even put a bit of paint on the pavilion. It’s hoped this will become an annual event, part fun but also with a vital maintenance function that means every year the playing field enters the summer in good nick. As well as this spring clean there will be a similar volunteer day in late summer/early autumn. Alongside this volunteer maintenance we’re getting some quotes in to repair and/or refurbish surface of the playing park. When we get those quotes, there will most likely be a fundraising effort to pay for the work.
