At present we have LIMITED use of the Club House for use of lockers and toilets only.

In view of current restrictions there will be no members meetings at present.
Members will be advised of the date of the next meeting.
In view of the unpredictability of Covid-19 Restrictions we will NOT be running the OPEN competitions this year.
Streets in the residential areas near the park are now by Residents Only Permit.
Visitors should park in the Riverside car Park for which charges apply.
Please note the car park can be very busy during school holidays or when there is a cricket match on.
We are a very friendly club dating back to 1934 with both male and female members and we are always looking to recruit new members. Why not come along to our weekly "Roll-Up" on Sundays 10am 'til noon during the playing season.
The club will only be open to members initially with no public/casual bowling until we get access to the pavilion.
Our clubhouse is located within Riverside Park, Chester-le-Street with a backdrop of the magnificent Lumley Castle.
The club will compete in 3 leagues in 2021:
- Monday Pelton Fell & District League
- Tuesday Durham County Bowling Federation Veterans Section (Central Division)
- Thursday Sunderland & District Bowling Association - Howey League
The club also shares its facilities with the Durham Croquet club .
