RICHBOROUGH UPDATE!

Update regarding the commencement of the Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) review consultation.

Following the last Cabinet Committee, KCC Officers wish to carefully consider the points raised by Members and ensure these matters are explained in sufficient detail. It is important that wider information is included within the consultation documents to receive informed public and stakeholder views.

This means commencement of the consultation will no longer be in early August, however, please be assured we will continue to provide updates as KCC work progresses so that everyone is advised of the revised launch date of this consultation.

We’ve been campaigning hard for a genuine choice and it has been included! With the support of our KCC member, Cllr Sue Chandler, our campaigns request for a genuine choice has now formally been answered and included with the 4 options to be consulted on now online and below.

• Option1: Closure of Faversham, Maidstone (Tovil), Dartford and Richborough

• Option 2: Closure of Faversham, Maidstone (Tovil), Dartford and Deal

• Option 3: Closure of Faversham, Maidstone (Tovil), Swanley and Deal

• Option 4: Closure of Faversham, Maidstone (Tovil), Swanley and Richborough
