Emotional and Practical Support To Those Bereaved Through Suicide
Amparo provide emotional and practical support to those bereaved through suicide. Their role involves liaising with coroners and any organisation who may be involved with those bereaved and they can attend inquests to support families.
They also provide further support regarding finance, engage with education authorities/universities, signpost to other agencies such as housing, mental health teams, crisis teams, counselling services, and child bereavement services. Individuals continue to receive support until they feel well enough to move on independently.
Amparo will make contact and commence their support, which includes delivery of Help is at Hand (see attachments for leaflet).
Individuals who do not live in Kent can still receive support from Amparo as long as the individual lost to suicide resided or died in Kent.

The summer holidays may be in full swing but families are already worried about the costs they will incur sending their children back to school in September.
Many households are already feeling the squeeze from increasing living costs and this could make them an easy target for predatory lenders who offer quick cash loans at astronomical rates.
These loans can lead people into long-term financial hardship, with exorbitant interest rates as high as 100,000% and threats that leave borrowers trapped in a cycle of debt for years.
The England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) is running a month-long social media campaign during August to raise awareness of the dangers of loan sharks and signpost families to financial information and support available with back-to-school costs. Rural crime has no set definition, however it can be very broadly classified as any crime and anti-social behaviour occurring in rural areas. We want to raise awareness of rural crime across our networks. We feel it is vitally important that rural and farming communities should highlight the issues that they deal with and how Neighbourhood Watch can help.
Make sure your animals are chipped or tagged to make them identifiable in case they escape.
• Use capped or inverted hinges on field gates to prevent easy removal.
• Regularly check gates and boundaries for signs of tampering.
Secure gates with good quality chains and padlocks that are more difficult to open.
