Clun Town Council with Chapel Lawn has the right to be consulted by Shropshire Council on planning applications that may affect its area and the council's views must be taken into account when a decision is being made. The Town Council also has a statutory right to be consulted by Shropshire Council during development of the Local Plan. However, the Town Council is not a planning authority and it does not have the power to grant or refuse planning permission.
You can search for planning applications affecting Clun by going to Shropshire Council's Planning Portal and selecting "Clun Town Council" in the drop-down list for Parish under Application Details.
Guidance on how to contact Shropshire Council (the local planning authority) and to comment on planning applications can be found here. The Town Council usually considers its response to significant planning applications at its monthly meetings and residents are welcome to attend and speak to the council about these during the public session.
