Bowling. This competitive and strategic sport, adopted by all ages and genders,is widespread in villages and towns countrywide.

The Danbury Bowling Club is no exception, we enjoy a membership of over one hundred individuals contesting outdoor bowls matches at home and away against other Essex clubs on both a league and friendly basis with our open season running from April to September.

We boast excellent facilities at our friendly club for coaching, bowling and socialising and welcome visitors to our Open Weekend on Saturday 18th May and Sunday 19th May 2024. You will be introduced to the game by our qualified coaches to learn more of the basics and how to cast a bowls “wood” accurately along a pristine grass rink to get as close as possible to and elusive white “jack.”

Intrigued? You will be! So come along on either date between 10am and 4pm to Danbury Bowling Club, Lower Field, Mayes Lane, Danbury CM3 4NJ
