July 2026 - Building Control & Enforcement visited site earlier this summer (2026) and met with the planning agents and surveyors of the site. Much work has been undertaken on the buildings this year, although this may not be apparent, or visible from the public realm. Unfortunately, the main Folly building was in an extremely poor condition and much effort has since been concentrated on the main Grade II listed building, The building is now more or less completely dry, and the roof has been almost entirely repaired. Therefore works are now well underway to develop the main building. 

The 2 x enabling dwellinghouses are in very poor condition, it is believed the developers currently in charge of the land intend on stripping the houses back to its bare bones and working from there, as they are required anyway to undergo significant changes in due course, to reduce its height and mass, as per the approved plans. 6 Masseys Folly: 15/03809/FUL Amendment to height of the 2 houses both built within the height permitted by planning consent granted 10.1.17. Amendment to the depth of the dormer windows without changes to height. Removal of the porches to both houses because they conflict with vehicle movement around site.
