Transparency Statement
Guiting Power Parish Council is committed to openness and accountability in everything it does. As a parish council with an annual turnover of less than £25,000, the Council is required under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 and the Transparency Code for Smaller Authorities (Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, 2015) to publish the following information on its website.
- All items of expenditure above £100
- End-of-year accounts (annual accounting statements)
- Annual governance statement
- Internal audit report
- List of councillors and their responsibilities
- Details of public land and assets owned by the Council
- Minutes of all council and committee meetings
- Agendas for all council and committee meetings
- Policies, procedures and standing orders adopted by the Council
This information is published on this website. Documents are made available in an accessible format wherever possible.
Requesting further information
In addition to the above, the Council holds a Publication Scheme under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, which sets out the categories of information it routinely makes available. If you would like to request any further information about the Council's activities, finances or decisions that is not published here, please contact the Clerk in writing.
