Halling Gardening Society (HGS) is for all interested in allotment and home gardening in Halling and the Medway Gap, Kent. HGS holds two flower and produce shows each year, in spring and autumn, open to members and public to enter; plus occasional talks.

Next activity: Annual Plant Sale Saturday, 6 June 2026, 10am to noon . . . in the car park of The Five Bells pub, High Street, (courtesy of the publican) . . .always popular . . . .. . dozens of annuals, perennials, and vegetables . ..all at much, much cheaper prices than at garden centres . . . . . .and all grown locally, so few carbon miles involved! Come early for best plants!

Don't be put off showing, experienced members will be on hand to guide you through preparing, and it's a real sense of achievement if you then walk off with a certificate. Go on, think about it!!! See the page above for hints and tips on preparing to show.
Halling Gardening Society was formed in 1977 and is run by its members through a committee elected each year at an Annual General Meeting (AGM). See also above the Society's rules and latest accounts and minutes from recent committee meetings and the last AGM.
