Accessibility

Everyone should be able to access information which we use to make decisions.  As a result we have a policy that sets out how we want to help people to access information, and if they are unable too, what alternatives we provide to support them in seeking information. 

Standing Orders (April 2019)
The rules by which the council operates. They include rules of procedure laid down in legislation as well as additional regulations chosen by the council eg. length of meetings, voting requirements.

Members Code of Conduct (reviewed May 2021_
Deals with councillors obligations about their conduct, including the registration and disclosure of interests. These are in line with the 7 principles which are the basis of the ethical standards expected of public office holders known as the 'Nolan Principles' (takes you to the Gov.uk website).

Financial Regulations (Reviewed May 2021)
Set out the details of how the council manages its finances.

Information & Data Protection Policy (July 2019)
Information Commissioner's Office Registration Certificate (2014-2021)
Sets out how the council complies with its obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)​.

Freedom of Information Publication Scheme (2009)
Sets out how we fulfil our obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Child Protection and Vulnerable Person Policy (2015)

Equality and Diversity (Reviewed May 2021)
Sets out how the council complies with its obligations under the Equality Act 2010.

Complaints and Compliments (Reviewed May 2021)
Sets out how complaints and compliments are handled by the council. It does not cover the issues under the Members Code of Conduct (above).
