Hampshire were in Group 4 for the first stage of this competition, being drawn against Surrey, Kent & Berkshire

Each game required 3 rinks to play at home and 3 away. Each rink scored 2 points for a win, 1 for a draw. 4 points were awarded for the winner of each venue (2 for a draw) and 6 points were awarded for the overall win (3 points for a draw).
