Patrons v Loddon Vale

In a closely fought game the Patrons were victorious by 4 shots, winning 84 – 80

The Chairman’s rink of Dave Thurgood, James Cushen, Vic Phipps and Nigel Bechelet were top rink for the Patrons. Next match is against Surrey Patrons on 4 February 2026

County Match v Surrey

Bad day for Hampshire who were beaten on all rinks by 70 -142. The best defeated rink was Nick Rogers, John Walsh, James Cushen and Doug Nazer

A colts badge was awarded to Paul Janota of Palmerston

County Match v HCWIBA

The annual match against the ladies has resulted in a fine win for the gentlemen by 131 shots against 72

Banister part provided the top rink, when they scored 14 shots in their last 4 ends. Players were

Geoff Jessup, Ray Rankine, Rob Oliver and Doug Nazer. Colts badges were awarded to Martin Reed from Longmeadow and Barry Fabian of Victory. A county badge was presented to Alan Cummins from Atherley

Over 60 Inter County v Essex

A tough Quarter Final for our Over 60s team this morning against Essex which was played at King George Field IBC. Despite a good performance unfortunately we were defeated by 95 shots to 137 but we go again next season

Liberty Trophy v Dorset

We continued the good start to our Liberty Trophy campaign with comfortable win over Dorset at Atherley IBC by 132 shots to 100. We were 2-7 down after the 1 st end but opened a 30-shot lead after 5 ends which we kept throughout the game. It was a very professional performance all round, well played all

Special congratulations to the 3 new caps who handled themselves well, Paul Sidwell, Tom Poore and Lee Trowern. The next round is against Devon on Saturday 28 February 2026 although the venue has yet to be decided as it will be on a neutral green and it’s Devon’s choice

The good start to the year continued with victory at West Berks 110 shots against 98

A 25 game flash was awarded to Alan Stafford of Atherley and the top rink was Geoff Jessup and Rob Oliver from Banister Park, Gary C Johnson from Chawton Park and Derrick Fulker from Palmerston

The next game is at Victory against Hampshire County Women on Wednesday 14 January 2026.

Patrons Match v Atherley

The New Year started with the rearranged game against Atherley and although the ended up three players short a victory was achieved by 88 shots against 85

The top rink was Jim Bellis, Derek Ham, George Roberts and Gary C Johnson from Chawton Park
