A Place Plan brings together information, ideas, and proposed projects for a defined area. The information that they contain is focused on infrastructure needs, such as roads, transport facilities, flood defenses, schools and educational facilities, medical facilities, sporting and recreational facilities, and open spaces.

Some parts of the Ightfield Parish Place Plan are a future wish list, to encourage discussion and investigation into feasibility and desirability within the Community.
