This section is about the The Princess Louise Hospital 1903 - 1905
A Military hospital was built to help with the treatment of wounded soldiers from the 2nd Boer War (1899~1902) known as the A.M.B. or Absent Minded Beggar Hospital, however the war ended before the hospital was fully completed, meaning that it never accepted a single patient!
Following a period of negotiation, it was announced that it would become the Princess Louise Hopital. It was officially opened by the HRH Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll on the 16th June 1903 however it was only in use for a couple of years by the Royal Army Medical Corps before falling derelict.
