Perhaps this photo will be of interest. It’s myself, Karen and Mo at the old club in Steep Street before we moved into the school grounds. Unfortunately many of those on the photo have passed away now. Arthur Holberry (front, with arms folded) was a real character and was our Captain for many years when we moved to the new green. Behind him on the left is Dave Howell (Greenkeeper) and to the right behind Arthur is Mike Oram (Greenkeeper for many years and a coach for the club). Next to me on left are Teresa and Colin Read (back) who ran the club for many years. Colin was a councillor and was responsible for obtaining our new premises in the school grounds; he later became our President.
