In Test Valley Borough, Neighbourhood Development Plans (NDPs) are formal, community-led planning documents that give local residents the power to shape and influence development in their areas

Once approved, an NDP becomes a statutory part of the Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) Development Plan. This means it carries legal weight and must be used alongside the overarching Local Plan when determining local planning applications

The Over Wallop Neighbourhood Plan 2011 – 2035 was 'made' following the positive community referendum on 2nd May 2024. The Plan forms part of the Development Plan for the parish and will be used to guide planning decisions in Over Wallop.

The NDP which includes a Character Appraisal and Design Code (Appendix D) for the parish can be found here.
