Probus Shelley is one of Horsham’s Probus Clubs, based at the Roffey Club, where a group of around forty or so retired or semi-retired men (mostly with professional or business backgrounds), meet regularly, in a “Social Club” atmosphere, to take advantage of the activities arranged by club members and to enjoy the opportunities offered for recreation and companionship.
What do we do?
Each month’s meeting reviews the extensive programme of activities available, follows this with a talk from an outside speaker on varied subjects. See our Programme of Events for the talks and activities we have planned for this year!
After the talk there is the opportunity to adjourn to a nearby Golf Club for a light lunch and the opportunity to chat further.
Apart from the regular meetings the rest of the month offers regular activities such as Snooker, Golf, Theatre Trips and Classical Concerts, Walks and Lunches. Members are encouraged to organize coach trips to further afield places when members partners are more than welcome.
