Aussie Pairs Ladder Rules

  1. A game of 11 ends using the Aussie Pairs Format. An extra end will be played if the score is equal after 11 ends.
  2. Pairs can be mixed, ladies or men and a substitute partner can be introduced as long as they have not been part of another pair.
  3. Any pair may challenge any other pair up to a maximum of three places above them for a ladder match.
  4. When a higher pair beats a lower pair on the ladder, the standings remain unchanged.
  5. When a lower pair beats a higher pair on the ladder, they will swap positions on the ladder.
  6. The losing pair must wait at least one week before challenging the winning pair.
  7. If there is no valid excuse to refuse a challenge, players will forfeit the match and change places on the ladder with the challenging team.
  8. New pairs can enter throughout the season, but must join at the bottom of the ladder.
  9. The pair who are at the top of the Ladder on 1st April 2024 will be the overall winners subject to having played a minimum of 5 matches.
  10. During the two weeks leading up to 1st April 2024 the three top pairs must accept at least one challenge.
  11. The agreed result must be sent to the section secretary after each game.
