Chairman v Secretary

This fixture was a traditional event held towards the end of the season. Unfortunately it had not been played since 2018 when the Secretary’s team were victorious. The match saw 24 players on four rinks playing 18 ends of triples. The teams were selected to, hopefully, be as equal as possible.

After 6 ends the pattern was established with the Chairman’s team ahead on three rinks. After 12 ends this was reinforced and at the end of the match, the Chairman’s team were victorious on three of the four rinks. The only rink they lost featured Chairman Graham S!

The match was played in an excellent spirit, there was some super bowling and the occasion was enjoyed by all. The Chairman thanked all for their involvement.

We now turn our attention to the Scarborough Open which starts a week on Monday.
