WBC in the Community

Back in 2022, local MP, Mr Alberto Costa, came to help us inaugurate our pétanque terrain and since then, we have held a charity pétanque day each December.

In 2024, we had an exceptional turnout and raised record sums from entrance fees, a raffle, an auction and from club donation.

From the photograph, you will see that we were able to donate £1300 to the Lutterworth and Villages Food Bank – our committee members Nigel Warren and Natalie Ward (left) presenting the cheque to Lucy Freeman, the Project Manager, of the food bank.

All the members of our club hope that this sum will go some small way towards supporting the community, especially in these cold times.
