Bilton Bowling Club - Dates from the Diary May
This month’s news
Life membership presented to Tom Hope
With thanks and recognition for 22 years of membership at Bilton as a player, treasurer and support to treasurers through the years. Congratulations to Tom.
Rose bushes donated in memory of George Fox former club trustee.
These have been planted in the memorial garden. They are the Rugby Rose created and named by the Rugby School grounds team.
All weather rink refurbishment
The all-weather rink was added to the club in 2005 following a grant from the former Rugby Cement Benevolent Fund. This has been used by club members, schools and children’s clubs at times and thanks to some thoughtful specialist cleaning and hard graft it’s now looking just like new.
New and refurbished fencing
You will have spotted the beautiful new fencing, gates and padlock and the painting of existing fencing which has made the grounds look very smart. Thank you to all those who have contributed to this work which is of such a high standard as always. Please make sure if you’re the last one leaving the club you lock the gate. Use your existing key. If you find your key needs adjustment please bring it in on a Friday evening or give Sam a ring.
Reminder for the tour of Rugby School gardens Wednesday 5th July approx. 6.30 (time to be confirmed)
Thanks to Frank Drewitt who has arranged this again for later in the summer. Take part in a guided tour of the various gardens within the grounds and related buildings of Rugby School and see and hear something of the history. Book your places with Richard.
