Following the flooding yesterday, Main Street is now open again.

The Fiskerton road remains closed and Gypsy Lane should be avoided as severe risk of damage from obscured potholes.

Severn Trent Water attended last night and concluded that most of the flooding on the road was from surface water. However, the backup of the sewer network that did occur is being assessed by STW in order to prevent this happening again. Via have been contacted regarding the surface water drainage problem.

Thank you to everyone who managed to lodge a complaint with STW yesterday - it's a painful process but really did make a difference in getting them to attend.

For future reference, it is essential to contact STW in the event of flooding (both on residential and main highways) as we will only get support if we are on their radar - there are various contact routes - phone, WhatsApp and video link - click here

Many thanks
