Grow Your Roots is part of Trees for Climate a tree-planting scheme in Nottinghamshire and just beyond into Derbyshire, Leicestershire and South Yorkshire. Nottinghamshire CC are promoting the scheme to those with smallholdings, allotments and large gardens. Farmers can also apply under the larger grant scheme. As well as grants that cover up to 100% of costs and 15 years of maintenance payments, the Greenwood Community Forest Team will provide expert advice and as much support as you need throughout the planning, funding and planting process. Planters can use the funds to plant a new wooded area with just a handful of trees to dense forests.
