As you can see from the photo, The Waggon & Horses put on a fine display of hanging baskets last year from late May and throughout the summer. Along with Bleasby in Bloom and Bleasby Open Gardens they really acted as a wonderful focal point to compliment the other displays around the village.
The previous supplier of baskets to the waggon is no longer trading so Neil has decided, despite not being open for business due to C-19, that the show must go on and now plans to plant up the basket himself to ensure there is still a great display for the village to enjoy.
He could really do with some help from a few people (plants & compost will be provided) who know what they are doing when it come to the actual planting arrangements.
So, we need a small group of volunteers to get involved with a session (that’s planting not drinking!) at The Waggon (carpark, so social distancing can be achieved...) one sunny afternoon during May to help plant up around 12 baskets with the aim of getting them in place by the end of May.
If you are able to help, please either get in touch with Neil directly (07920 523880) or email bleasbycommunity@outlook.com.
