Warm Greetings to you and your family as we approach Christmas and the New Year.

This greeting comes with best thoughts and prayers from all 7 parishes of the Benefice of West Trent, for a peaceful and hopeful period in our lives.

What will the New Year bring, or even Christmas?

None of us really knows and recent experience only confirms this. We live in challenging times for our planet and ourselves. There are neither no easy answers nor any amount of warm fuzziness to lessen this reality. The Christmas story gives us some degree of hope that we are not alone in the universe, nor devoid of nurturing values to live by.

You are very welcome to any of the opportunities to celebrate the Christmas story and consider its relevance as listed on the attached image.

We are supporting Newark Women’s Aid this Christmas (as we always try to), among a myriad of deserving charities. If you would like to help please visit the website for how to do that.

Every blessing.
