Operations Manager

Based at:     The BOSP Office, Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea, Basildon (with travel to other centres as required)
Reports to:  CEO
Salary:         £39,000 to £41,000 pa (Full Time Equivalent - depending on experience)
Hours:         26 hours per week, over Tuesday to Friday

Role Overview:
The primary focus of this role is overseeing BOSP’s internal infrastructure - including people, processes, services and compliance - to ensure the organisation meets its charitable objectives safely and sustainably.
The role will work closely with our CEO and BOSP’s senior team, including BOSP’s Families & Activities Manager, Financial Controller, Services and Policies Officer, Senior Charity Administrator and Skills 4 Life Supervisor.
You will not be expected to revolutionise current systems or create new services as soon as you come into this role as BOSP’s excellent service model is well established. However, processes and delivery will be subject to ongoing regular review as part of BOSP’s continuous improvement and development.

Skills 4 Life Supervisor - Full Time or Term Time/Job Share considered

Based at: Term Time: BOSP, Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea, SS16 4UH
School Holidays: The Pioneer School, Basildon and Thriftwood in Brentwood, with some sessions taking place out in the community
Reports to:  BOSP’s Families & Activities Manager/Operations Manager

Salary: £28,500 to £30,000 pa (Full Time Equivalent - depending on experience)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (term time/job share considered)
There is flexibility to the below which can be discussed before or during the interview. Usual hours:

Term time: Tuesday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, Saturdays 8.45am to 4.45pm
School Holidays: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm

Role Overview:              

You will be planning and delivering fun and educational activities for small groups of young adults with learning disabilities, aged 18-25 years. Most days include exciting community outings designed to help the young people improve their confidence, communication, physical and life skills to improve their well-being and enable them to have greater independence and control over their lives.


Skills 4 Life Support Workers - Full Time or Term Time/Job Share considered

Based at:  BOSP, Wat Tyler Country Park, Pitsea, SS16 4UH (with travel to other centres as required)
Salary:  £25,500 - £26,500 pa (Full Time Equivalent – depending on experience)

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week (term time/job share considered)
There is flexibility to the below which can be discussed before or during the interview. Usual hours:

Alongside the Skills 4 Life Supervisor, you will be delivering fun and educational activities for a small group young adults with learning disabilities, aged 18-25 years. Most days include exciting community outings designed to help the young people improve their confidence, communication, physical and life skills to improve their well-being and enable them to have greater independence and control over their lives.

Support Workers - Flexible Part Time hours

Based at: Basildon, Billericay, Wickford, Brentwood and a variety of recreational sites. Sessions currently run on Saturdays, evenings and throughout the school holidays
Reports to: Families & Activities Manager
The Role: To provide fun, caring and safe support to children and young people with disabilities during BOSP fun leisure activities

  • Are you interested in enhancing the lives of children and young people with disabilities and learning new skills in a very rewarding role?
  • Are you caring, enthusiastic, reliable and enjoy working as part of a team in a club environment?
  • Looking for flexible part-time hours; evenings, weekends and school holidays?

BOSP Support Workers need to be a minimum of 17 years of age, due to Ofsted requirements.
