Home Activities and Further Support

We were pleased to announce that BOSP re-opened face-to-face services Monday 27th July 2020 following the initial lock-down. We understand that life has been very difficult for all of our BOSP families and their children/young people.  Lock-down and then transitioning your child back into respite or school can be very tricky, so if you are feeling anxious, stressed or feeling that you cannot cope, please do pick up the phone and call The BOSP Office on 01268 553117 or the BOSP mobile on 07901 858457.

We will listen and try to help, and if necessary help you get support via the community hubs and Essex Welfare Service which have been set up during the COVID-19 crisis to provide a variety of support, from help walking dogs, collecting medication or shopping to referrals for young people with mental ill-health.

We also are delivering Counselling services for individuals, couples, siblings and if appropriate the young person with the additional need. Please see Our Sessions and Support Services page for more details.

'COMMUNITY TREE' INFORMATION - Supporting mental well-being and disabilities

When you have a child or young person with a disability or life-limiting condition, there are very often additional challenges that families face.  In the past it has been difficult to find out what resources are available to you locally, until now.

The Community Tree initiative is a collaboration of local organisations who have come together to help improve access to mental health and well-being services, from counselling to advocacy, volunteering victim support, housing support or rent arrears.

To find out what help is available in your town, click on the website link below to access the Community Tree Directory.
