Fundraise for BOSP

Fundraising and donations are vital to BOSP; please encourage family and friends to support us!

BOSP is almost entirely self-funded and is constantly researching and applying for grants in order to keep the prices of sessions as low as possible for parents and carers. We also rely on the generosity of donations from friends in the community and fundraising events to help us cover the remainder of the costs.

For over 30 years BOSP has been supporting Essex families by providing short breaks for children and young people with complex disabilities or life-limiting conditions. BOSP believes that these children and young people should be offered the same opportunities as their mainstream peers and offers a full programme of exciting and interesting sessions each term as well as including provision for every school holiday.

The extra strain on families of children and young people with disabilities/life-limiting conditions makes these sessions essential to our families, therefore it is vital for us to keep raising funds to enable us to continue our work.

If you or a family member are able to walk, run, climb or wade through mud in aid of BOSP, it would be much appreciated. Or if you prefer a less exhausting way of helping us to raise funds, there is always a BOSP quiz, lunch, afternoon tea or tombola stall you can attend.  Perhaps your place of work has a Corporate Social Responsibility programme and would be interested in supporting a small charity such as BOSP.

For any of the above, please do not hesitate to get in touch, we'd love to hear from you! If you would like any further information about how to support BOSP please contact the office on 01268 553117 or email: community@bosp.co.uk

BOSP's Fundraising Pack

Our fundraising pack below provides a range of hints and tips to get your fundraising off to a fantastic start. We provide examples of some wonderful supporters who demonstrate how fundraising can be both fun and satisfying, giving you a great sense of achievement.

You can fundraise alone or as a group making it a great excuse for a party, a cake sale, pub quiz or to finally undertake that sporting challenge you have always wanted to do. We hope that reading this guide will inspire you to organise similar activities or perhaps something completely different! There’s really no limit to what you can do - just get your creative thinking caps on!

To help promote your fundraising activity, you can request free fundraising materials such as balloons, balloon sticks, leaflets, collection tins and fundraising buckets. Please get in touch and let us know of your ideas and plans so that we can give you the help that you need. We would love to hear how your activity went and see photographs. If you agree, also to share your success with others via our social media, website and our newsletter. Please contact us at The BOSP Office for more information on 01268 553117 or community@bosp.co.uk
