The Short Mat Drawn Pairs competiton
The competiton went ahead on 13th November at the club house with sixteen bowlers competing to see who could win the first competition of the short mat season. At the last minute and after frantic phone calls, three substitutes were found to replace three 'no shows' who almost caused a re-write of the playing order. However play did go ahead with some strong contenders in the mix. After each team had played three matches, the top two from each group played out the final match in front of an audiance who supported both teams.
The Runners up were Peter Shead and Nigel Dawkins.
The Winners were Phil Philpot and Tim Prior
Well done to all who participated and thanks to competition organiser Bob Holiday. Please remember, if you sign up for a competitoin but cannot make it, then please advise Bob ASAP.
