The Short Mat Mixed Singles Competiton

The competiton went ahead on 5th March at the club house with twenty bowlers competing to see who could win the competition. This was the first time this competiton had been run since covid restrictions were lifted. Some of the matches played were keenly contested, but by the time the semi finals were reached and after lunch, three of the contenders were the same as the last time this contest was played. Previous winner Neville Taylor came up against new bowler Neal Fowler who swept the former winner aside to gain a place in the final. A repeat of the previous semi with Peter Shead playing against Tim Prior was hard fought with Tim Prior winning through this time. The final match was in front of an enthusiastic audiance who supported both contestants.

The winner was Tim Prior

The Runner up was Neal Fowler.
