The Open (shortmat) 2024

January saw the annual Boughton Open short mat competition which was enjoyed by all those who attended, participants, helpers and visitors alike. You cannot believe the amount of effort our volunteers put in to this event, from the organising administration, catering, setting up and breaking down as well as all the work to do on site each day, raffles, cooking, washing up, scoring, cleaning, moving mats, umpiring and more. We thank everyone who gave up their time to assist with this year’s event.

The Pairs winners on Saturday were from Sturry, Pam Carnell and Tony Ellis. The runners up were from Swalecliffe, Neal and Karen Fowler. Well done to them.

The triples winners on Sunday were from Detling, Allan Ellis, Linda Newton and Ron Smith. The runners up were from Teynham. Gill and Pete Tilbee and Chris Lovelock.
