2015 Bowls Tour

The Isle of Wight

Monday 27 April - Friday 1 May

We were picked up by Seaview Coaches at Wells Bus Station 9.00 am on Monday morning. Gavin being our driver for the 5 days.

We spent a couple of hours in Salisbury, time to look around the shops/Cathedral & have a bite to eat.

Our sea cruise to the Island was with Red Funnel Ferries, Southampton to Cowes.

Then onward to Sandown & the Trouville Hotel, the second year running we have stayed there. We were met by Debbie the Manager who arranged Tea & Coffee while our bags were taken to our rooms.

Tuesday morning we were picked by Gavin at 11.00 am & taken to Ryde so that we could have a couple of hours looking around before the game.

Wednesday as the game was in Sandown we had the morning at leisure before being picked up at 1.15pm for the game.

Thursday Gavin again collected us at 11.00 am so that we could have a wander around Cowes before our game.

Friday we said goodbye to the Trouville Hotel at 9.45 am who have looked after us very well again. Group photos taken by Gavin before we are on our way to Cowes & the ferry home. We took the 11.30 am ferry to Southampton. On route we stopped for 30 minutes in Salisbury before carrying on to Wells. Say our farewells to Gavin as he heads back to the Isle of Wight after looking after us for the 5 days.
