November - Belly Dancing

Gaynor Fairweather preceded our meeting with a talk on the history of  Belly Dancing.   The origins are unsure but the general consensus is that it originated in Egypt, much to most members surprise as they had generally believed it came from Turkey.    Gaynor showed various items of costume before demonstrating some of the moves.  She then asked if anyone was willing to have a go.   Two brave members took on the challenge, Helen and Lynn and impressed the members with their efforts.
