WI Complaints Procedure

WI COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

Complaints should be sent to the WI Secretary in writing and will be dealt with by the officers of the WI.  A response will be given within 4 weeks of receipt.  In the case of an officer being mentioned in the complaint, she will not take part in the meeting considering the complaint.

An appeal against the decision should be sent to the WI Secretary and will be heard by the WI Committee.  A response will be given within 4 weeks.  The decision of the WI Committee will be final.

If the complaint is about an officer, the complaint should be addressed to the committee.

Although issues relevant to a particular WI should be resolved by, and with, the WI, support and help are available from WI Advisers who would be happy to give advice in confidence.  Alternatively, the federation board can be contacted for advice through the federation office.

For constitutional issues the Constitution and Rules for Women’s Institutes will apply.
