Monday 31/8

The journey was pretty uneventful apart from David Stock threatening to let my tyres down. At the hotel the luggage was taken in very quickly and those of us on the third floor were offered oxygen on the second floor. 16 people took part in an indoor game against Stony Stratford which we won. Top rink was Les Parsley (skip) Rachel Jones, Maureen Blunt and Graham Akers who had a close game winning 22 shots to 2!😎

Roger was a bit miffed that he had to support his team rather than support the bar 🍺🍺 and suggested that Steve should have offered that as a third option.👍🏻

The 3 course meal was very nice and Richard managed to persuade the staff that he is a special case and had 5 courses; no surprise there.

The evening concluded with a game of Scattergories which Chris tried to organise but concluded it would have been easier herding cats. Rachel Jones was the overall winner.

lastly, many happy returns to young Julian Hales who is celebrating his 81st Birthday
