Plaque 6: 1-3 Chapel Lane

This row of cottages was once a medieval chapel, which was ‘suppressed’ during the reign of Edward VI (1537-1553). It served as a wheelwright’s home and workshop until becoming houses. The row was given Grade II listed building status in January 1985.
