2026 Programme
Update on Guided Tour of Upnor Castle originally planned for Friday 10th July @2.00pm
In April this year, Medway Council handed over the management of Upnor Castle to English Heritage. Unfortunately English Heritage are not currently in a position to conduct tours of Upnor Castle at the moment and so regrettably, we've had to cancel this visit.
We hope to organise an alternative visit to Rochester Cathedral in the near future, at around the same time that our Upnor Castle visit would have taken place. Watch this space for further updates.

Halling Historical Society(HHS) organises a public programme each year of talks, walks and visits of local historical interest. Talks are usually free to members and take place at least every two months mostly on a Monday evening at the Jubilee Hall, Browndens Road, Upper Halling, ME2 1JH. Some talks take place at the location of the subject so check carefully in the programme.
Annual membership: £12.00. Meetings: Members free. Visitors £3.50.
Halling Historical Society is for the appreciation of past life and times of Halling, the Medway Gap, and Kent.
